HanaHaki

HanaHaki originates from the Japanese story of a disease that condemns its vessel to the blooming of flower petals within, resulting in the coughing up and eventual death of those afflicted. This disease symbolises the feelings of unrequited love and emotions. To me, this perfectly encapsulates the emotional experience of suffocation for the words that cannot be said, and in turn, influenced the creation of this piece.
