      <g:title>Invasion</g:title>
<g:description>'Invasion' depicts the invasion of privacy and self that many experience in others' objectification and assault of them. This work is symbolic of the taking away of body autonomy which people often feel they have a right to dictate over us. I wanted to communicate this in a trivial and lighthearted way to showcase the lack of reflection or concern these people tend to show their victims when they invade them.

      <g:title>Wednesday Night</g:title>
<g:description>Wednesday night showcases my attempt at self-expression and self-insertion in a very symbolic sense. Often when going through the art-making process, the illustration takes shape in the emotions I am feeling at the time of creation. While not depicting myself, I wanted to capture the beauty in the mundane, with both the boredom and contentedness one feels on a typical 'Wednesday night'.

      <g:title>Vices 2</g:title>
<g:description>The vices collection was developed through a conversation I once had with someone who has had a meaningful influence on my life. They had stated when offered to gamble, 'I only have three vices at a time'. This made me consider the vices which we take up in our lives, and their contradicting natures to both nurture and harm the soul, mind and body. I was inspired to document my own vices in this regard in this ever-growing collection.

Vices 2 depicts my turbulent relationship with alcohol, cultivated through its ability to nullify my social anxiety, gradually evolving into secret and private drinking.

Vices 1 was the first of this collection depicting my smoking vice and addiction, to which many relate.

      <g:title>HanaHaki</g:title>
<g:description>HanaHaki originates from the Japanese story of a disease that condemns its vessel to the blooming of flower petals within, resulting in the coughing up and eventual death of those afflicted. This disease symbolises the feelings of unrequited love and emotions. To me, this perfectly encapsulates the emotional experience of suffocation for the words that cannot be said, and in turn, influenced the creation of this piece.
